# Which AI assistants can run a Sitejump migration?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant call an external tool — here, your Sitejump migration — as if it were built into the chat. You paste one URL, sign in once with Google, and the assistant can audit, price and rebuild your site. Only assistants that can write files can finish the job, so this is the honest list.

## Assistants that work end to end

| Assistant | Rebuild target | Typical hosting |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Lovable | Lovable project | Lovable hosting + custom domain |
| v0 | v0 project | Vercel |
| Replit Agent | Replit project | Replit hosting |
| Claude Code | Portable React + Tailwind repo | Your chosen host |
| Cursor | Portable React + Tailwind repo | Your chosen host |

The destination selected during the audit is saved with the migration. Hosted builders manage their own project workflow; coding workspaces receive portable repository instructions and require a separate deployment host.

## Why ChatGPT, the Gemini app and Claude chat are not listed

- **ChatGPT** — custom MCP servers require Developer mode, and full read/write MCP is a beta limited to Business, Enterprise and Edu plans.
- **Gemini app** — the chat app does not support custom MCP servers; MCP exists only in Google's CLI surfaces (Gemini CLI / Antigravity CLI).
- **Claude web & Claude Desktop chat** — they can connect to MCP servers, but a chat surface cannot write a codebase. Use Claude Code for the real thing.

## If your assistant cannot add custom MCP servers

Run the free audit on the site, pay for the migration, and download the deliverable ZIP from your account — it contains every page, the redirect map, design tokens and a rebuild brief any coding assistant or developer can work from. Full setup steps: https://sitejump.dev/mcp-connect.
